“Talking Trees” & “Bar Stool” perform in Boone, IA
The performance piece, “Bar Stool,” was written and performed by Andy Hartley. This piece originated as an assignment for a play-writing class. The point of the assignment was to find an object and use it any way other than it’s intended use.
Professor William Johnson, presented a clip from the classic film, “The Great Dictator,” to show an excellent example of how an inanimate object may be use to express emotions.
Andy’s performance of “Bar Stool” shows a struggle between the two extremes of rage and restraint.
